JAPANESE ATHLETES
.To Make Appearance in Hastings CENTRE'S OFFER The offer of the Hajrke's BayPoverty Bay Amateur Athlstic Centre to have the Hawke's Bay appearance of the Japanese athletes at Hastings on Mareh 16 has heen accepted.by the Hastings Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club. The matter came before the executive of the club last evening, when a epccial meeting was held to consider the offer. Mr J. 0. Taylor presided. The centre agreed that the visiting athletes should compete at the weekly meeting of the club should the club be prepared to accommodate them. Appreciation of the centre 's actiou was voiced and arrangements 'were entered into regarding the visit. The visitors will compete in the field events and long-distance running events, and a special programme will be arranged to feature these events, 1
