An official statement savs that Ras Desta, the Emperor's son-in-law, wKom the hknperor was reported to have favoured to represent him at the Coronanation, was rounded up by a flying column, captured aud shot. He leaves a wi(jow and seven children who are at present in England with Haili Sellassie, Marshall Graziani, in his report to Signor Mussolini says that Ras Destji, in December pent emissaries promising submission, but it is believed that he was only temporising while he collected troops. Marshall Graziani recalls that Signor Mussolini orderer a time-limit cf seven days to be given for Ras Desta's surrendel*. When tho time expired Marshal Graziani took out an expedition and defeated Ras Desta, who, with a lieutenant, escaped until last week, when he was brought into the action in which Gabra Mariam and others were killed. Ras Desta again escaped, until captured yesterday. Marshal Graziani adds: "1 am proud •to lay jn II Duce's hands complete victory, enabling the civil development of the Einpire withouf anxiety." #. ,i — -
