Saies of tiie "Suzanne Lenglen ' ' tennis racquet were the subject of dispute in ihe Paris Courts last month. When Mile. Lenglen became a professional player her manager signed a contract, both.in his and her name, with a company, by which a tennv. racquet correfipondxng exactly "to Mile. Lenglen's design was to be marketed. BHe took action agaxnst the' company for refusing to eupmit to her a statement of accounts. The Court decided that ihe accounts were to be subniitted to Mile. Lenglen, and awarded her 80UQ francs — about £75— as provisional commissmn on the sale of the racquet. Golfers' Status^ The foliowing paragraph from the Sydney Referee will be of interest to New Zealand golfers: — The attention of the New Zealand Golf Council was recently drawn to a statement that sonie of the leading Dominion amateurs were in the habit of accepting presente of golf balls from agents. T/J council, discussed the matter and resolved that it should be pointed out to the beneficiaries that acceptance was contrary to the spirit of the definition of an amateur golfer. If was further resolved to tell them that not more thSn two balls (bona fide samples) should be accepted by an amateur from any agont or dealer, and then purely for the purpose of testing them.
