Cheval de Vdlee 's win in the Taranaki Stakes miist be cousidered with the Vaals three-year-old let in at the minimum. The three hack races should furnish interesting contests with recent winners in Colleen Gain, International, Autumn Leaf, ,Ned Cuttle. Corowa and Eara participating. The Opunake Cup has drawn a field of eight with Friesland top-weight at 8.11. As this Australian-bred geldiug has won his last two races he must be one to dispute favouritism.
