Jury Finds For The Defendant After deliberating for 2i hours the jury in the Supreme Court at Napier to-day returned a .verdict in favour of th© defendant in th© case in which Karipa WaU, settler, of Taupo, claimed from Henry Eichard Murray, contractor, of Hastings, £2000 damages. The accident arose from the death of the plaintiff 's son in a motor accident. His Honour entered judgment foj the defendant with costs. Wall alleged that a collision between a motor-lorry and a motor-cycle on the Mangatahi road on May 8, 1936, reeulting in tho death of Wall's son, was due to the negligent driving of Murray. He further alleged that through his son's death he had been deprived of a horne and maintenance, for which reason he claimed the damages. Mr E. J. !W. Hallett appeared on behalf of Wall, while Messrs H. B. Lusk and W. Selwyn Averill xepresented Murray.
