ROAD TO THE PEAK
Board to Seek Subsidy for Completion The attention of the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. R. Semple, is to be drawn to the need of continuing the road through Te Mata Park up to the Peak. At the meeting of the Te Mata Park Trust Board ou Tuesday the ques'tiou of completing the road was diseussed, and it was decided to approach the Minister on the matter. Mr W. Tucker raised the question at the meeting and said that the Minister 1 was expeeted to be visiting this district early next month and would probably he speuding about three days here. He suggested that the board should take this opportunity of drawing the Minister 's attention to its desire to complete the Toad and endeavour to secure a Government sabeidy. It wu decided to m&ke arrangements for a deputation to meet the Minister and show him over the park ai:d tho iProposed route of tlie road to the Pcalt.
