Keen Sale of Fat Lambs

CHRISTCHUECH, Last Night. Heavy yardings were the rule at today's Addington market, particularly of all classes of sheep. Store sheep: More than 20,000 were penned. Except for the best qf lambs, the market was easier by ls to 2s 6d. Good fresh ewea sold firmly, occasional pena oi 2-teptha making from 48s down to 38a, four-year 32s 3d to 29s, and five- J jyear 27s. For ordinary ewes showing ( itravel atain, the market was cautious ',and easier by lg 6d on last week, a : 'number of big lines being passed. . Fat lambs:" Close on 4000 penned. (Thero was a keen sale for prime lambs jat full exporfc ratea. Best sorts made Ifrom 30s to S3s, medium 2?s 6d to 29s |«d. ! Fat. sheep: A heavy penning and a flrm sale for prime sorts. Exporters competed keenly for ewes at up to 22p. Best wethers made frpm 29s to 32s, Good medium 29s to 2is 6d, best ewes 23s to 269 9d, good 21,8 to 22s 6d, ordin'ary 18« to gQs, Fat cattle; 415 Wero penned and thero was an easing of about 15e a head. Best •steers sold at from £12 to £15, good medium weights to £11 10s best heifers £9 to £10 12« dd, good £7 10s to £8 15s, [best cows £3 10s to £10 17s 6d, good £7 to £8 5s, and infcrior down to £4. Fat pigs: There was an advance of 3s a head for porkers which sold at from j6d to 6§d per lb, Baconers sold at 5Jd •to 5d, pricos for those heing nnchanged.
