MISS BERYL DEANS GUEST OF HONOUR AT GIFT PARTY

Mr» 0. Henderson and the Misses C. Sutherland and S. Deans wefe hostesses at a very jolly gift evening held in the United Hall, Hastings, in honour of Miss Beryl Deans, who is to be married shortly to Mr Jim McGlasban. The evening was spent in games and dancing, the music being supplied by Lew Munro's orchestra. Eloeutionary items were given by Miss Constance Dewson and whistling and vocal solos by Miss Sadie Deans. The duties of M.C. were carried out by Mr N. Robson. After supper the guest of honour was presented with a pretty posy by Master Bellerby. She then opened her many parcels and on her behalf Mr McGlashan thanked everyone present. Those present were: — Mr and Mrs Bellerby, Mr and Mrs K. McHugjh, Mr and Mrs N. Robson, Mrs O. Henderson, Mrs Atkins, Misses O. and A. Atkins, E. O'Neill, C. Dewson, A. and J. Gibb, K. and N. McGlashan, E. Kitt, D. Franklin, J. Percy P. Temple, E. Walker,' M. Burrell, C. Sutherland, S. Deans; Messrs B. Heyward, I. Helliker, J. MacDonald, J. Walker, K. Burrell, Bim Orr, J. McGlashan and Master Bellerby.
