NEW PLYMOTJTH, Last Night. A steady do-vfepour of rain last' night and to-day has flooded Taranaki rivers. No serious damage hasv been report,ed, but the Main North road to Auckland is blocked to traffic to-night through a stream overflowing the road. Rain is still falling but is now lighter. Several fillings in road construetion work were washed away.
