w — — 5 Napier Motor-Cycling Racing Club The flrst reliability trial of the 1937 season was held by the Napier Motor Bacing Club during the week-end in fine weather. Fifteen xiders took part, several eompetitors coming from Hastings. The course set for the timed section was tricky, though not difficult, and most oi the riders finished in good time, G. Nelson gaining the most points, followed by N. Etheridge, B. Austin and M. Saxby. The eompetitors were sent over two difficult observed sections, which proved the downfall of enost, very few of the riders getting through without footing or failing altogether in the rougher sections. On the whole, run N. Etheridge gained the most points and came in as winner, second place failing to B. Austin, M. Saxby being third and P. Wood fourth.
