PROVINCIAL PERSONALS

Alrs A. J. Young, Wairoa, is on a hoilday in Auckland. Mesdames W. L. Limbrick, H. 14mbrick, H. M. Hatlibone and J. Clark will represent the Waipawa Croquet Club at the annual tournament at Dannevirke. Miss R. Fleming, Waipawa, leaves to-morrow morning on a holiday visit to Christclihrch. Mr and Mrs Cliff Burling and the Misses Edna and Jean Burling, Masterton, who have been on a short visit to Ormondville as the guests of Mr and Mrs- W. Burling, have returned to their home. Mhe H. Benbow and family, Ormondville, who have been spending a holiday at Woodville, hape returned home. Miss Barbara Whealen, who has been spending the school holidays with her uncle and aunt, Mr and Mrs J. R. Thorp, York street, Hastings, returned home to Wairoa on Saturday. A farewell party was given on Saturday night at Patunamu Station, Wairoa, the home of Mr and Mrs Richardson, to Mr and Mrs Breingan of Cricklewood Station, who leave shortly to reside at Gisborne. There were 50 guests and the rooms looked very gay. A pleasant time was spent in games and other amusements. After supper Mr and Mrs Breingan were presented with a handsome travelling rug and a Morocco leather handbag as a small mark of esteem. Mr Breingan made a suitable reply, and the gathering closed with the singing of "Auld Lang Syne"
