ATTEMPTED MURDER

Farm Manager on Trial NEW PLYMOUTH, Feb. 22. The efforts of two police offieers to anest a man in an isolated district near Whangamomona, were recounted in the Supreme Court to-day before Mr. Justiee Reed when William Joseph Fox, a farm manager, of Aotuhia, faeed several charges of using firearms, ineluding one of attempting to murder Detective Patrick Kearney. /Evidence for the Crown on lines of that given in the Lower Court on February 4, occupied the Court all day, It was announced that no evidence would he called for the defence when the trial is continued to-morrow.
