HATUMA, This Day. During the .week-end Flemington played Hatuma on the 'latter's ground. The day was ideal for. cricket, and after a very enjoyabie game, Hatuma proved the winners by six wicketd- and x29 runa on the first inmngs. flemington had nrst use 01 the wicixet, a»d were alf out ior 121. W. Filingham (4if) was top scorer ior 1ns side, other dotfole figure scores being r'aiiey (34) and Havanaghj (12). Hatuma repiied with the handsome score of 2d0 for 4 wickets. The partnership was a record and was between linight and Matthews. These two players carried the score to 106, wneu Matthews was bowled by .Downie, after making a very usetul 32. Joined by W. Cusiing, linight carried on in grand style and reached 105, when he xetired. Included m his score was a 6 and 17 fours. linight is t° be heartily congratulated on acndeviaig the honour, being the lirsjj member of the Hatuma club to reach a century. Walsh pia'yed nicely to reach 53, not out, and other players jvho made useful scores were feaxon (21 not out), W. Culling (15), and C. Wilson (12). Packer, 1 for 31, Barnes, 1 for 44 and Downie, 1 for 43, were. the best bowlers. In the second attempt Flemington, at stumps had lost six wickets for 89. Knight, 2 for '33, O. Wilson, 1 for 20, Saxon 1 for 3, A. Wilson, 1 for 4, shared the bowling. honours for Hatuma.
