London Business Men Want Mr Stanley Bruce SUGGESTED AS MINISTER

(Eeceived 23, 10.45 a>m.) LONDON, Feb'. 22. The Associated Press political Writer says that the Et. Hon. Stanley Brnce's entry into English politics is a distinct possibility. "Several influential persons behiad the seenes besides City
interests want him on the front bench, while some whose authority counts Would like him in place of Sir Thomas Inskip as Minister for Co-ordination of Defence. Mr Bruce was born iu 1884 and educated at the Melbourne Grammar School and Trinity Hall, Cambridge. He served during the Great War and in 1918 was elected to the House of Representatives. He became Premier in 1923 and remained in office till his Government was defeated in 1929. In 1932 he joined the National Government and was appointed Resident Minister in London.
