LATE MR P. SCULLIN
Tribute to the splendid services given to the distriet by the late Mr. Phil Suullin, overseer to the Hawke's Bay Rivers Boar.d, was paid by the ehairman, Mr. T. M. Geddis, at yesterday 's meeting of the Napier Barbour Board. The interest taken by Mr. Scul- " hn in river matters had been of particular interest to the Harbour Board for many years past. In time of flood, when the board 's property was in jeopardy, Mr. Scullin was the man looked to in order that proper protection was afforded, said Mr. Geddis. Mr. Scullin had given excellent service which had been of great value to the distriet. It was decided to forward a letter to the relatives of the late Mr. Scullin expressing the board 's sympathy in their bereavement.
