WINNING JOCKEYS AND TRAINERS.
.N. Cavaney with three wins, was the most successful jockey at Woodville. He piloted Rona Bay, Silver River and Sir Nigel. G. Tattersall (Old Surrey and Alby), P. Atkins (Courtcraft and King's Lancer), P. Burgess (Maestro and Arctic King), and B. H. Morris (Smoke Screen and Blue Garter), each rode two winners, and single successes were obtained by C. Stratton (Gironde), ,S. Wright. (Padnos), R. Marsh (Taro), C. Carroll (Spender), and J. Leach (Flammarion) . The trainers' honours were well divided, not. one getting more than a single success. ' Hastings stables provided four winners in Gironde, Silver River, Blue Garter and Sir Nigel. Awapuni provided three in Old Surrey, Alby and Flammarion. Trentham horses won tae principal event each day, Rona Bay winning the Woodville Handicap and Arctic King the Autumn Handicap. The other winners were from Levin (Padnos), Woodville (Courtcraft), Ashhurst (Maestro), Greenmeadows (Taro), Bulls (Spender), Fordell (Smoke Screen), and Oringi (King's Lancer).
