Mr R. G. Nairn, the Irish Evangelist, will this week continue * his interesting addresses on the Lord's Sec.ond Coming. Parfciculars are issued in this issue. A general meeting oi shareholders of the Hastings Starr-Bowkott Building Society will be held to-morrow, Tuesday, evening, when appropriations amounting to £1500 will be held in the No. 5 and 6 issues. The Central Hawke's Bay Sheepdog trials will be held at Redclylfe, Taradale, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, this week. Entries close today, Monday, with the eecretary, Mr Fred Tong, Puketapu. Mr Douglas Neilson, Home Director of the Ce.vlon and India General Missiou, gave a very interesting address on "The Problems of India" m tbe Puketapu Hall on Thursday evening. There was a large attendance and tho address, which was illustrated with the latest technicolour tilms depicting the life and customs of the Indian people, was listened to with great mterest. A collection was taken up in aid of the mission funds. Tho Napier High School Old Boys' Football Club held another oi its popular dances iu the Victoria Hall c« Saturday eveniug.
