WAIPAWA CLUB
Five rinks frocn Port Ahuriri Club paid a week-end visit to Waipawa and played a friendly match with the local club. The weather was ideal. Mr. Adeane, on behalf of the Waipawa club, apologised for the absence of the president, Mr. N. J. McKay, owing to illness in the family, and thanked the members of the Port' club for their visit. Mr. McCarthy replied. He remarked on the large humber of young players in the club. Mr. Logan, president of the Centre, congratulated the club on its win in the champioa fours. The results of the day's play were as follow, Waipawa players being mentioned first: — Rennett, Mclntosh, Noell, Jopson 13; Black, Watts, Kennedy, McCarthy 23. - Dunkin, Carter, Eddy, Davy 20; Morley, Burrows, Kalen, Danvers 29. Petheriek, Petersen, August, Chisholm 24; Baker, Merton, Briasco, Crawford 14. Holt, Limbrick, Parkin, Wills 19; Sinclair, Watters, Andreason, Poppelwell 14. Russell, Barrie, Peterick, Patterson 20; Sarah, Cross, Miller, Logan 15. ORDINARY GAMES. Results of club games were: Peterick, Parkin, Jopson 19; Kingston, King, Clark 18. Carne, August, Chisholm 26; Barrie, Eddy, Holt 20. Rennett, Davy 24; Noell, Walker 21.
