SYDNEY, Feb. 21. Tbere is still no sign of tbe missing Stinson plane, witb six pensons aboard, wbicb was reported lost on Friday between Brisbane and Sydney, and fears are entertained tbat it crasbed in the sea. Thirteen planes are engaged in tbe searub.% Beports received tbat tbe air-liner was seen paesing over various points soutb of Taree lead to a belief tbat tbe machine vanished witbin balf an bour of Sydney. One report Stated tbat the plane was seen over Gosford between 4.30 and five on Friday afternoon. Tbe area iii wbicb tbe plane appureittly disappeared is closely settled and it is considered to be almost unbelievable that a crasb on the land would not bave been reported witbin a day. It is reported from Brisbane tbat a matt wbo travelled by tbe plane as Mr j. Barnett was Mr J. E. Binstead, of Maiily, wbo was flying under aii assumed name because hiB wife is nervous of air travel and be did not want ber to know be was making tbe trip. Miss Jean Batten joitted the se&rcherg yesterday, making two extensiive fiigbts.
