_ The Port Ahuriri Bowling Club's singles championship is now nearing finality, with W. Danvers the only twolifer, and F. D. Logan, R. V. McCarthy, R. Kennedy and W. Lockwood witn one life. A most interesting game for the oGId Tikis was played during the theweek-end between the holderis, H. Matchelor and J. Johnson (skip), and the challengers, S. Sinclair and A. Andreasson (skip). Both the leads, who are first-ydar players, played rernarkably good bowls, and Johnson 's steadiness gave him the win by 22 to 15. On Wednesday evening the annual match between pairs representing the Harbour Board (Earnev and J. Johnson) and Customs (McKay and Courtriey) was played and resulted: Customs 14, Harbour Board 13, after a keenly-contested match. Tlie trophies, the Champion Spear and the World 's Worst Cup were presented to the respective winners. Following are the results of Saturday '13 play: — Sinclair, Ball, Cuff, McCarthy 19;
