Feilding Man Loses His Life

LEVIN, This Day. A well-known and highly respected; f ■resident of Feilding, Mr. Harold Hay-1 'don, lost his life yesterday by drown-. ling at Waitarere beach where he and, his wife and family had gone to spend^ the day. Deceased went out into the; surf on a li-low and got out of his1' depth, with the result that when he was itipped ofl he was soon in difficulties not I being able to swim. A life line was ,run out and Mr. Hayden brought to the beach but despite the fact that resuscitation methods were npplied for an hour, he failed to rally and when a doctor arrived, the latter pronounced that death had intervened.
