Fine fields will be in evidence for the Woodville meeting to-morrow and Monday. Hastings and Greenmeadows stables wiU be represented by Parry, Gironde, Taro, luheritance, Werohia, Master Cyklon, Red Cockade, Sansfoy, Blue Garter, Sir Nigel, Quake, Silver River, Mohua, Royal Solo, Helios and Tupai. The betting will be the single pool system. Racing commences with the 12.15 MAIDEN PLATE. Of £85, six furlongs. There will be no divisions for this event, an early seratching having reduced the field to the permissible num ber. Of the local quartette engaged, Gironde is galloping best at present. Parry will benefit by the run and may do better the seeond day. The following have been in minor places: Southern Blood, Trevelyn Hold, Gironde, Ruenzori, Taro, Aube, Inheritance and Golden Enterprise. The latter was twice second at Ashhurst last- month, The best backed may be GOLDEN ENTERPRISE, GIRONDE and PARRY. 12.55.— ORINGI HIGHWEIGHTj Of £100; li mila. Otaki won twice at Marton &t the beginning of the year, beating En Vidette both times, and at Wairoa the latter beat a first-class hack in Gay Hunter. Windward is a possibility. Spender is not up to average so far, but in this poor field may do better. Acron was in a place in the last Waipukurau Hack Cup, better form than the balance possess. What money is invested on this xace may be mostly on OTAKI, WINDWARD and ACRON. 1.35.— WOODVILLE HANDICAP, Of £200; li- mile. The best field of open handicap horses got together for some time at Woodville. Weroiiia has raced at his best here. A handy pair are Arctu King and Grp.nd Jury. Haut Monde looks like being favourite, as he is galloping well and will be on his home cracu. Master Cyklon will not be against the sanie class that beat him out of a plaee at Egmont last woek. Rona Bay goes a good ten furlongs and at 8.0 must appeal. A fair field oi: haeks was behind Helen Ford when she won at Trentham last month. Mandamus has been galloping well, but this seasoa kas disappointed. So far ,Taumau has not been above the highweight ciaiss. A light-we^ght possibility is Geite! Of those on the minimum Siegmund may be the best. What will have better support than HAUT MONDE RONA BAY and WEROHIA f 2.15.— SAPPLING STAKES. Of £100; 5J furlongs. It is rather strange that in tho autumn one finds a juvenile field of eight with only two that have raccd. Courtcraf t is the thpusand-poundef purchased twelve months ago.by Mr. Herbert Gaisford. He is a fine looker and in action also impresses. Son and Heir disappointed at Trentham, but that experience may istand to him in this field of " beginners." Red Cockade from here is a big colt that looks like requiring time. Orient Dawn and Aureus are said to be smart. Three that may appeal most are COURTCRAFT, SON AND HEIR and AUREUS, 2.55. — PRESIDENT JS HACK HANDICAP. Of £100; 7 furlongs. Only one pound more has Sansfoy to earry than he won with at 'Egmont, Blue Garter's seeond to Pennycomequick at Wairoa was fair form. Laggard is only moderate at best, while Otaki is taking on the highweight. Day Dress has been galloping fairly well at Awapuni. Old Surry is on the upgrade and his two thirds at Trentham draw attention to his chance. Lord Quick will have to be taken into consideration. Not ti very large field, and the most have fair form to their credit of late. The favoUrites may be SANSFOY, BLUE GARTER and DAY . DRESS. t 3.85.— RUAHINE HANDICAP. Of £150; 6 furlongs. Karl has been racing officoJour of ' late, but here the opposition is a little weaker than he has been meeting. His stable companion Mandamus may prefer the ten-furlong race earlier in the dsy. Should'Bun Fight strike her two-year-old form, a win would about corne her way. Land Tax, Sir Nigel and Alby have all in the past won in better company. Of the others Syineony, Lord Moutoa . and Bodyline may do best. The best backed may be ALBY, KARL and LORD MOUTOA. 4.15.— COUNTY HACK HANDICAP. Of £100; 6 furlongs. Rustem has been racing consistently, but Quake not as well as earlier in the season. Mister Quex won twice at Ashhurst, but his form at Wanganui was disappointing. Gladium has a poo. #reeord. At oue time Catalogue wa. -3 raekoned a Derby proposition, but he has not raced of late. Of the jighterweighted division Mohua, Royal S0J0 and Tupai may do best. The favouurite may come from RUSTEM, MISTER QUEX and QUAKE. 5.O.— KUMEROA HACK HANDICAP. Of £100; li mile. Convivial's Trentham form was fair, as abo was that of Revival, and the j formcr has since won at New Plymouth. | Kmg's Lancer is not a wise one to ' follow. Maestro muet be considered, as
he was a good second to Lady Ina at the la3t Wellington meeting: A big disappointment has been Corroboree. •Vfaitohu has no form. Favouritism may bo disputed by MAESTRO, CONVIVIAL and REVIVAL.
