Most of the Hastings horses claiming engagements at Woodville on Satarday and Monday were given a run ilong this mornmg against the watch. Where not specified .the gallops were lone oa the plough track. The Hastings contingent leaves to-morrow but Sansfoy, lioyal Solo and Tuapai are already at Woodville. * * * Silver River (K. Brueur) wa« not exbended over five furlongs in 66secs. He is in great fettie, but since his fall at Hastings last November cannot be persxiaded to give of his best in a race. • • • . Allmetic (J . Prendegast) and Traiier (J. Olsen) were well clear of Cockfight (I. Briggs) over five in 66jsecs. • • • Master Cjyklon, who looks all the better for recent racing and travelling, tvas givein. a working gallop and impressed by putting more pep into his work bhan previously. • • • Tullamore (Cullen) and Mahutaj ^Briggs), a brace of two-year-olds in J.
