Mr Lloyd George and Duke of Windsor "OUR BEST A^BASSADOR" (Beceived 18) 10.5 a.in.) LONDON, Feb. 17. Explaining his Christmas message to the Duke of Windsor on December 24, Mr. Lloyd George, on arrival from Jamaica', said: "Somebody cabled tell- i ing me that every body was against tho Duke of Windsor. I thought that at least one friend was left, so I sent a message that .1 was still his friend. He is the best Prince of Wal'es we have had for 100 years. Ther'e was nothin'g we asked him to do for the prineipality that h'e didn't do. He had a great sense of duty. When I was Primo Minister he Was recOgnised throiighout the world as the best ambassador We ever had." Mr. Lloyd George added that just before the abdication he considered rushing to England. ' ' I had actually booked my p'assage, but then I heard of the abdication, so I did not start the journey. Wh&t could I have done?" he asked.
