WELLINGTON, This Day. All the ' social issues raised by the QMef Justiee. (Sir Michael Myers) at the conclusion of the fourth Supreme Court trial in the Aves case will .be dealt with in the report of the speciai coinihiitee appointed last year to investigate the problem of abortion among womeii, Both married and • single, according to a statement made last evening by the chairman of .the committee, Dr, D, G. McMillan, M.^. In October, wheh the . committee was meeting at Aucklahd, Ihe acting-chair-man, Dr, T. F. Corkill, of Wellington, issued a stateihent poihtihg out that the committee had received evidehce to show that the ptactice was very widetepread throughout all classes of the community, and that there appeared to ,be a general lack bf appreciation of the danger nbt only to the immediaie life of the patient, but also tb subsequent health. When invited last evening to amplify Dr., Corkill 's statement, Dr. McMillan said that the committee 's report would be presented to the Minister bf Health, the Hon. P. Fraser, in the very near fiiture, and in those circumstances he did not consider it deteirable to comment at present.
