CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Most sections were ffrm at Addington to-day. The store sheep entry was the largest this season and numbered 16,000. The quality was mixed but there was a fair pfoportion of. good sheep. All good lines sold well up to late rates. Lambs, came forward in. about the ,same numb.ers as last week. There 'was a keen and firm demand for good1 lambs' but Qthers went to ls 6d lower. Two•tooth ewes made to 4as. The fat lamb entry was 1600 head. The. quality was better than last week and there was a very keen sale wifh best light lambs 6d to 9d dearer. Values ,were: Extra prime heavy to 34s 7d, prime heavy ,29s fcp 31s, prime medium weight 26s 6d .to 28s 6d, ordinary 24s 6d to 26s, light to 25s. • The fat sheep entry was the heaviest this season but the quality was mixed with a large proportion of Becondary sorts. For the best there was a very free saie at fully last week's rates but othdr types were, if anything, easier. Exporters operated steadily for suitable sorts. Values were: Extra prime heavy wethers to 37s ld, prime heavy 28s 6d to 30s, prime medium. u eight 26s to 28s, ordinary 23s to 25s 6d, light to 22s 6d; prime heavy ewes 23s 9d to 25s, prime mediuin weight 21s to 23s 6d, ordinary 19s 6d to 20s 9d, light to. 19s. A small entry of fat cattle made values rise £1 to 25s all round in a keen market. Values were: Extra prime heavy steers to £15 17s 6d, prime heavy £.11 15s td £13 10s, prime medium weight £10 10s to £12, ordinary £8 to £10, lignt to £7 15s; extra prime heifera to £12 2s 6d, prime £8 to £9 10s, medium £6 to £7 15s, light to £5 15s; extra prime cows to £11 2s 6d, prime £6 5s to £8, ordinary £4 15s to £6, light to £4 10s. There .was a medium entry in the pork seetion and prices showed a slight j easing. Baconers were yarded in iarge numbers and considering the entry, the market was good. Values were: Chop- : pers 54s 6d to £4 8a 6d, porkere 31s 6d to 34s 6d, heavy 36s 6d to 46s 6d (average price per lb 5£d to 6}d). Baconers 48s 6d £3 5s 6d, heavy £3 9s 6d to £4, 4s 6d (average per lb 5£d to 6d).
