WHITE AND SILVER CELLOPHANE CREPE FOR BRIDE'S GOWN

Bowls of . hydrangeas and arches of silvor loa'ves and a whito wedding hell wero used to decorate Trinity Methodist Chureh, Napier, an January 20, on the occasion of the marriage of Ellon Agnes, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs H. Pottle, Napi'er, to Thomas Henry, eecond son of Mr and Mrs S. P. Whitton, also of Napier. • The Rev. H. J. Odell, assisted by the Rev. Basil Metson, Hawera, officiated, while Mr A. W. • Pacey played the bridal niusie. The hymns, "The Voice that Breathed O'er Eden" and "O, Perfeet Love, ' ' were sung 'and a solo, "A Song of Thanksgiving, ' ' was sung by Mrs P. Hall, of Hastings, cousin of the bride. The bride, who, was escorted by her father, entered the church to ,tho strains of Wagner's "Bridal- March, ' ' from "Lohengrin," wearing a lovely gown of white and silver cellophane crepe, fashioned on long lines. The front bodico was tight-iitting with cowled neckline with tiny buttons down the back. The sleeves were cowled at the shoulders and moulded closely from tho elbow and pointed over the hand, iiniish(»d with tiny buttons. The skirt fell full from the knees, and flared gracofully _ at tho back to form the^ long train. Her veil of hand-em-brqidored silk net ,w&s arranged with a coronet of orange blossoms. Whito satin sliocs, ornamented with orange blossom buds wero worn, and she carricd. a bcautiful showbi; bouquet of white gladioli, palo pihk (sweet -peas, rogo buds, and agapanthus intermingled with trails of f crn. ' ' The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Margaret Pottle, who wore a smart blue frock of cellophane crepe sliver striped, cut on slini fitting lihes with a V-shaped neckline finiished with a posy of ,biue flowers. The sleeves were frilled and the skirt fell fpll and long. Long blue lace mittens were worn, and a halo .of blue and feilver floYrers and leaves. Silver shoes ' completed the toilette. She carried a bouquet of pink gladiqli, sweet peas, roses and blue flowers and fern; Miss Beryl Spivey, niece of ihe bride, was a pretty little flower girl in jade green of tlie same material. The bodice was tight fitting with frilled puffed sleeves, and frilled neckline.' The skirt, which was shirred at the . waist, fell to ankle length, being finished with , a frjll. Sho wore a halo of pink flowers and leaves, and silver shoes. She carried a dainty basket of flowers. Mr Percy Gourlay, of Palmerston North, carried out the duties of best man. Ppllowing the ceremony, the recoption was held at the Trocadero tearooms, where the guests were receivcd by.Mrs Pottle and Mrs Whitton. The tea rooms were .decorated in green,. blue and lemon, finished with a white wedding bell, the tables also being decorated in the same colourings. The bride travelled in a navy blue costume, white georgegtte smocked blouBe, navy blue hat, shoes, gloves, and hand-bag to ■ tono. Mrs , Pottle, mother of the bride, wore a floral frock of navy blue, with pink tonings cut with®. a' square • neck finished with pink flowers and pink foggoting, l(mg full sleeves. A navy , blue hat and matching accessories finished her toilette. Her ' bouquet was composed 1 of pink gladioli, roses and fern. Mrs Whitton, mother of the bridegroom, wore a nigger brown frock with fawn trimir.ings, nigger brown hat with autumn flowers, accessories to tone. A bouquet of autumn shades, .with fern, completed her toilette. .
