TANGOIO GATHERING

There was a good attendance of members at the Febijuary meeting of the Tangoio Women 's Institute held at the home of the president, Mrs. Osborne, on Thursday evening, The motto for the month was, "Most of the shadows in this life are caused by standing in our own sunshine." A letter of congratulation was sent to Miss Spencer, O.B.E. Arrangements were made for several members to altend the forthcoming federation garden fete. It was decided that the meeting day be changed from the second to tho third Saturday in each month. A letter pf sympathy was sent to the relatives of the late Mrs. Bibby. The competitions for the month resulted — Three pods green peas, Mrs. Sinclair 1, Mrs. McDonald 2, Mrs. Collins 3; best article made from sugar bag, Mrs. Sinclair 1, Miss Conway 2. After a delightful supper, a vote of thanks Was passed to Mrs. Osborne for her hospitality,- and the meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem.
