OBITUARY

Mr H R. Campbell McEIrea The death has occurred of Mr. Henry Ross Campbell McEIrea, aged 54, a woolbuyer, He was born at Ashburton, and had been a borough councillor for over 25 years. He was founder and ex-president of the Advance Ashburton Association, president of the St. John Ambulance, ex-president of the Boxing Association, judge of local boxing tournaments, and a member of the High School Board. In his early days he was a keen volunteer and rifle shot, having some success" at Trentham. He leavos a widow, two sons and a daughter.
