GINGER POP
To celebrate the putting in of that ooncrete block, "Little John" brought over a bottle of home-made "ginger pop. ' ' It met with such approval that he was requested jto publiteh the recipe. Here it is, and you can make it your* selves in a few minutes -Put 20 cups of cold water into a basin. Add two cups of sugar, two teaspoons of citrie acid, two teaspoons of tartaric acid, four teaspoons of ground ginger, and tWo teaspoons of essence of lemon. Add ioz. of yeast. Stand for two hours, then bottle. If you can resist the temptation, leave it for two or three d&ys, then have a go at it, but have an um* brella handy or a mackintosh, and look out for the cork. If opened in a dark room with colbured lights it wipes Napier 's new fountain clean off the map and you will have to wipe ginger pop offi the ceilingl Don't overdo the yeast or you will xequire a licence for handliug exploaivea.
