APRICOT AND MAUVE GEORGETTE WORN BY TWO BRIDESMAIDS
Harrison — Charters Apricot-tinted flowera wero artxstically arranged in St. Matthew 's Church, Hastings, recently when the weddin'g was isolemnised of Margaret Gretta, daughter of Mr W. Charter3, Dannevirke, and the late Mrs Charters, and Henty, son of the late Mr and Mrs G. J. Harrison, Hastings. Canon C. Mortimer-Jones officiated at the ceremony and Mr 0. B. Spinney played the wedding music. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of white souple satin, fashioned on long lines, the front panel being finely pleated. The skirt was trained and inlet with finely-pleated fan-shaped godets. The neckline was cut square in front and was caught with a spray of orange blossom and a Mediei eollar finished tha back. The long tailored sleeves were pointed over the hands and from elbow to wrist were tiny satin covered buttons and loops, while a Istitched belt finished the waistline. She wore velvet shoes and her tulle veil, lent by Mrs K. Sturrpck, the bride 's cousin, was appliqued with satin and was arranged witli a , halo of orange blossom. She carried a 1 sheaf bouquet of white roses, liliels and ferns, the gift of a friend. Two maids, the first in apricot georgette and the -second in mauvo
georgette, attended the bride. They were Miss Mary Young (chief), and Miss Evelyn Coles, niece of the bride. Their gowns were eut alike with very full skirts and a wide sa'sh with sot't bow at the back. The bodice had a large double collar and the wide bishop sleeves were ruched at the shoulders and fiqished with a cuff at the wrist. Each maid wore a spray of mauve and apricot flowers at the neck and a matching halo, while velvet shoes to match the gown were also worn. Bouquets of roses and ferns were carried by each maid. Miss Patricia Coles was a dalnty flower girl in her gown of apricot georgette, a replica of th* chief bridesmaid's. She carried a basket of flowers and wore a gold armlet, tbe bridegroom's gift. His gifts to the bridesmaids were signet rings. Mr Geoffrey Field, Waimarama, carried out the dutieB of best man and the groomsman was Mr Arthur Hill. After the ceremony a reception was held at the United Hall, Hastings, where the guests were receivedf By the •bride 's father and her sister, Mrs C. E. Coles, Gisborne. Mrs Coles wore a model gown of rust crepe cloque with cream hat and accessories and her bouquet was in matching shades. The long tables were arranged with vases of apricot gladioli and mauve cosmos and in the centre of tha bridal table stood the tbree-tiered square wedding cake, a gift from the bride 's aunt. Mrs M. Lee. When the bride and bridegroom left for their honeymoon, a motor tour in the north, the bride travelled in a sapphire blue silk frock, the bodico finely tueked across the front, and gold buckle and trimmings. She wore a brown hat, brown suede gloves and shoes and a musquash coat, the gift of the bridegroom. Among those present were: Mrs M. Lee, Mr ahd Mrs L. Elms, Mr and Mrs D. G. Doole, Mr and Mrs C. E.
