MOTHER-OF-PEARL PINK WEDDING GOWN

Zemanek — Fulford A Yery pretty wedding took place last evening in the Sidey Memorial Presbyterian Church, Napier South, when the itev. E. H. Kedgley united in koly matrimony, Marvel, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Fulford, Nelson Crescent, Napier, and Norman, onlv son of the late Mr and Mrs Zemanek, Napier. Friends of the brldehad decorated the church beautifully for the occasion with trails of waxy white mandevillia, asparagus fern, dahlias and hydi'angea in the colour scheme. Gueets seata wero decorated with a pale pink ribbon bow. The service was fully choral, Mrs H. McGregor presiding at the organ. The bride was escorted by her father, and looked very daintyin her trained wedding gown of mother-of-pearl pink needlevua lace mounted over an underdress of deepest cieam satin. The gown was cut on classic lines and girdled wxth a cieam silk cord finished with tassds. The bodice had a high neckline at tl e back, and a shirred Y-shap-ed vestee of net to tone .was inlet, fla'o bows of net being set below it to the waistiine. The long full sleeves were inlet near the cuff with a large lace meda'Jion to give extra fullness and this was outlined with a narrow frili of net. A frill to match finished the neck outline in front. Arranged in cap efi'ect, the embroidered veil of cream lulie v*as held ln position by a circlet of oiange blossom. She wore pink embossed velvet ehoes and carried a shower bouquet of deep cream roses, lilies and pale pink carnations finished with fern and ribbon to tone. Two maidb wero in attendanee, tiia Misses Irss Fidd and Nancy Fulford (oyuain of the bride). They were frocked alike in apple-green lace over under dreeses of paler tinted satin. The frocks were cut on long graceful lines and had attractive short leg-of-mutton stf-e% es fimshed at the elbow with au upturned iiand of fine pleating. A simu lateh medici efi'ect was given to neckHue by an upstanding pleated frili, and below the front neckline sprays of hand-made flowers in houey and gold shades were a pretty tinish. Similar flowers trimmed their velvet sashes at the back. They wore very smart bats. The drooping brims of green open stiffcned mos' with a crown of hand-iu.uo houe.v and jold flowers openly aLticed from the floral inner edge of the brim. Green velve shoes were worn and ath carried a bouquet of. gold roses, Lilium Henrii, golden crocus and gjladioli. As the bridal party came out of the church, the bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by her little cousin, Hazel Fulford. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr Ray Williams, and those of groomsman by Mr Harold Fulford, brdther of the bride. The ushers at the church were Messrs J. Wyness and it. McNiven. After the ceremony over 100 gueste adjourned to the Oddfellows' ^ Hall, where the reception wedding s'upper and dance were held. The hall was prettily decorated with aeparagua fern, dahlias, French marigolds and coreopsia. The tables looked very charming, the bride's mother having made novel place cards finished with tiny handmade honey and gold flowers, papey table runners and servietteg matching i in colour. Pink dahlias and marigolds with maidenhair fern decorated the bride's table, a silver vase of natural flowers surmounting the top of the tiered wedding cake. All the usual toasts were honoured at the Bupper. Mrs W. Fulford, mother of the bride, received in a becoming ensemble, the frock of navy silk mai'ocain flowered in bright autumn colourings. A white rose spray Was set at the neckline. The hip-length coatee was of navy sheer crepe de chine, and her navy fancy ettaw hat wa3 trimmed with a toning velket bow at back and autumn spray of flowers in front. The bouquet carried was in autumn shades. The fdllowiiig relatives wero present: Miss E. Fulford, sister-of the bride, weafihg a smart frock of nile-green featfetas, the bodice having puff sleeves fcrimmed with bands of old-rose taffetas, a similar trimming fiiiishing the neck oiltline, A posy of pink flowers was set at the waistiine and on her hair was worn a bandeau of hand-made flowers to match. Mrs W Le Bas (Auckland), sister of the bridegroom, wore a model frock of henna satin cloque faShioned with a high neckline and narrpw collar. A corsage yukts was shirred prettily in front and Toops and buttons trimmed tiie back. A Binui't blaek hat wub worn and she carried a bouquet oi' lemon roses and gladioli. Mr W, Fulford, father of the bride^ Mr \V.' Fulford, senr., grandfather of the bride, Mr and Mrs R. Carver, Mr alid Mrs 0. White, Mr and Mrs Ji. J. Fulford, Mr and Mrs C. Fulford, Mr and Mrs F. Fulford, Mr and Mrs H. Goodall, Mr and Mrs Henry Fulford Mr and Mrs A« Kirkhatn (Hastings), Mr and Mrs M. Fulford, Mesdatoes D. Fulford (Auckland), and St. Geoigte (Auckland), Mr and Mrs R. Kivell, Mr and Mrs F. C |s (Wellington), Mr and Mrs j. McDougall (Wellington). The honeymoon is Deing spent in the South Island, and on leaving the bride was attired in a niggei'-hrown costurde With peasaut enibi'oldered blouse, browu hui, skiii bag and shoes. Mr ard Mrs Zemanek will make their kome in Wellingtun.
