GOEBBELS INDIGNANT
"Fine Fellowj We Savages" TEARING UP 0F TREATY BERL1N, Fob. 13. In an indignant speech by Dr. Goebbels, Miuister of Propaganda, delivejy ed to 20,000 Nazis, he contemptuously referred to France, Russia, Czechoslovakia and Britain, and declared: "If we compare political life in the spcalled ' democratic France and Britain with that of Germany, we find we savages are fine fellows after all." He added: "The French have lost their inelination to march into th© Ruhr again. We have torn up the Treaty of Versailles and thrown it in the face of our opponents. Rearmament has cost us many sleepless nights • and entailed great risk. We could not take the German people into our confidence at the time. If we are accused of syringing surprises our reply is that there was no other way possible."
