Romance, melody and laughter will be the order of the day at the Cosy Theatre to-day, where Nino Martini, the handsome eingjng . star of radio, grand opera and -films, -will delight his audiences in "The Gay Desperado." ' As a silvery-thfoated fiinger in a' little Mexican movie house, Martini proves that he ean act as well as sing. ■ Martini is kidnapped by a bold, bad (and very ingenious) bandit who worships American. gangsters and decides to . adopt their methods, but is really a sentintental, music-loving chap at heart. Martini's song repertory includes "The World Is Mine To-night," already popular on the radio, "Adios My Tierra," and three famous Mexican songs, "Cielita Lindo," "Lamento Gitano" and "Estrellita." The Verdi aria, "Celeste Aida" is the highlight of the operatic numbers. AU tlie members of a splendid cast including in addition to those already mentioned, Harold Hiiber, Mischa Auer and others do top-notch work. ,
