WIN ON FIRST INNINGS
Rugby Defeat United . Qn the opening day of the Rughj v United game at Hastings, Rugby secured a lead of 32 runs on the first innings and in their second strike had
lost seven wickets for 88 runs. The return of the representative playera gavo them an exceptionally etrong "tail," and in consequence they raised the aggregate to 327, Biggar, Beuth and Fisher compiiing excellent scores. United batted out the remainder of the afternoon to lose sii wickets for 214 runs, Morrisey being the outstanding performer with the bat. Rugby won 011 the fjrst innings.
