WHANGAREI, Last Night. A half-ton truck driven by Williain Heather, married, of Otaika road, Whangarei, struck the north express at Ihe Kensington level crossing this morn ing. The truck was completely wrecued, the body being hurled moro than a chain. Mr Heather was admitted to the Whangarei Hospital in a serions condition suifering from a fractiire of the base of the skull and severe facial injurieg. He .was profoundly uneonscioup on admission, and his condition was considered to be grave
