LATE ROY REED'S SON

Provision From Estate As a resulfc of the order made in the Supreme Court at Palmerston Northj yesterday by his Honour Mr. Justice Johnston, a variation was made m the' will of the late Roy Reed to provide an endowment for his son. Reed, the well-known jockey, died as' a result of injuries received at Trentham on March 17 of last year. The action was brought by the Guardian Trust and Exeeutors Company under the Family Protection A.:t and, with the consent of counsel for Mrs. Reed, now resident in Sydney, his Honour made an order setting aside £2000 on behalf of the nine-year-old son. Income and capital are to be used for the maintenance and education of the boy, who will receive any surplus on aftaining his majority.
