Combined Band Concert, A considerable crowd iined both sides of the mam streei, of Waipukurau on I'hursQay eveuing wheu tbe combined bands of tbe Wellington Regiment, Waipukurau Town Baud and the Wellington Pipe Band marched tkrough tlie street to the Municipal Thcatre, where a grand concert was held under the conduetorship of Warrant-Ofiicer II. Baker and Mr E. Malkin. Items were given by the combined bands and by Messrs T. Revell (lightning sketches), T. Denne (euphonium), L. Alnard (saxophone), H. Bolton (song), E. R. Perkins (horn), and Sergeant J. Corbin (songs). Popular items by the Regimental dancc- band also proved pleasing to the audience. Reminder to Ratepayers. Ratepayers in tlie Patangata county are remiijded that an additional charge of 10 per cent. will be addcd to all rates remaining unpaid after March 15, 1937.
