DECLINE OF BRITISH RACING
1 With the drpp Qf 28 from the pumber it ajitracted last. spring, the entry pf 52 for the Llncolhshire Handlcap, to be rup next March, emphasises the degline in Bfitish horse-racing. The glamonr qf a race meeting i* lost when the big race declines. The falling off in this particular race is due to some extent to a horse being killed last spring, and two jockeys severely injured. Then again, the grand old "tradition" that has served Britain in many an emergency has lost its pulling power. The public are not confeht fo stand in the open and be drenehed to the skin.
