N.Z. Airways Machine Crashes on Farm

CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. A Sparton aeroplane owned by New Zealand Airways was wrecked on a farm at Stavely this afternoon but the pilot, John Kilian, was nninjured. Colin L. Anstin, aged 26, owner of the farm, who was a passenger in the aeroplane, suffered a sealp wound. The machine, totally wrecked, was taken in a lorry to •Springburn and from thexe it will be 'sent by rail'to Timaru. The pilot took off twice without his passenger to test the field. It was a gusty north-west day. ">
