An Argentinean importer tefused to pay' for a shipment of penclls because they wero inferior to saimple; the -Iead was only half-an-mch long, th© rest of the pencil being solid wood. The Japanese- : manufacturer brought the sample into Court, cut it open, ^nd won. th© case; it also contained only half an inch of lead.
