Ready to Stand Trial by Impartial Court INTENDED SPEECH ST0PPED NHW YORK, Feb. 10. The scheduled speech by M. Trotsky by telephone to an audience of 6500 Ijere was prevented by the cutting of the wir© somewhere between Iiei'e and SoUth Monterey, Mexico. M. Trotsky denbuneed ihe acrtion as sabotage on the part of the Stalinite Communists in Mexico. The ahdience remained ih the auditorium which was Oquipped with loudspeakers, hoping the wire would be repaired. Copies of the speech were distributed in advancQ to the meeting. M. Trotsky asserted. he Was ready to surrendter to th© Soviet if an impartial court found him guiity of the charges of terrorisni, conspiricy and treason upon which he was tried recently in his absence at Moscow, It is learned that several prominent American lawyers, judge3 and educators were consulted concerning the proposal to hold such a trial here if Washington would consent to M. Trotsky entering the Uhited States in ordef to testify.
