Schedule of Classes All interested in th© Hawke's Bay Agricultural and Pastoral . Society' s autumn show, which will take plaoe on Thursday, March 18, next, are notified in this issue that the schedule is now available and that copies may be received from the secfetary, Mr A. M. Retemeyer, Church Lane, Napier f or from Mr F. G. Wilkinson, Queen street, Hastings. Quite a number of new classes have been added, including class ior grade Jersey heifer born since J'uly 1, 1935; also class for pair. In the horse competitions a clasa" has been add>-d ior handy hunters' competition. and in the axemen's events the society has been allocated a New • Zealand champion chop. ■ Owing to the disastrous frost, a class has been added for best emergenoy erop grown by a registered orchardi-st to be judgpd at the orchard; also a class for vegetables or roots to be judged at the show. As in the past , the schedule i* • most comprehensive one and includes sections for calves and yearling dairy cattle, pet lambs, butter and cheese, preserves f etc. ' (open and novice), eggs, honey (open and novice), -bread, cakes. scones etc. (open and novice), women 's institutes, fruit, vegetables (open and schools), field classes for inangoids, potatoes and maize, roots, grain and seedst Maori industries, poultry (fancy and utility), horticultural, dogs and numerous competitions, including apple-packiug) dog trial, dancing and piping, axemen's events and horse competitions. Exhibitors in th© dog 6ection and coippetitors in the ax©^ men's events should note that separate schedules ar© issued for thes© sections, and when writing should state their requirements. Separate poultry schedules are also available.
