WELLINGTON, Last Night. Affirming its opposition. to any Stato fization .of the prices of comm.odit.ies, the executive of the Associated Chambers of Commerce to-day decided to act in aupport of a resolution by the Gisborne chamber, which strongly protested against any guaranteed or fixed price of wool as not being in the interests of the farming community or the . Dominion generally. The Gisborne chamber in its ietter said the Government, among much other objectionable experimental legislation, had a definite policy regarding the fization of the prices of primary produce, and had fixed the price of butter as a commencement. Realisations at the recent wool saies had been at least 40 per cent. above the average range, which would be worked out from the saies of the last nine or ten years. However, it was understood that the guaranteed price system was to be extended.
