FIRE ON WAIRUNA
Big Loss to Cargo of Copra (Received 11, 8.45 a.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 10. A copra fire has been extinguished in the New Zealand freighter Wairuna. The loss is estjmated at between 10,000 and 20,000 dollars for cargo and buckled plates. This is the fourth copra fire m British ships in a few months. The Union Company's steamer Wairuna, -5832 tons gross register, is one of the ships employed in the trans-Pacific cargo service. She recently loaded copra and other cargo at Fijian and other South Sea island ports for Vancouv«r.
