PALMERSTON N., This Day Though heavy rain showers fell overnight the wicket was in good condition for the resumption of the Wellington v Country Districts cricket match. Cutler and Reaney, the not out men, continued the Country innings, both playing the bowling well and advancing the score to 98 by 11.30 without further loss. Soon afterwards Cutler was caught at the wickets by Tindill, At 99 Massey joined Reaney, but failed to last, being dismissed for four. Norris was next in and played sound crickets with Reaney, the .latter hitti og strongly. They carried the score to 213, the partnership yielding 103 when luncheon arrived, Scores • — WELLINGTON.
