iarge Yarding of 24,500 Head at Stortford MARKET LITTLE CHANGED Tha large yarding of 24,500 head ©f store eheep at Stortford Lodge fio-day met with steady selling, the Soarket showing little change on lait week's values. Lambs constifeuted half the yarding, there being about 3000 wethers, the halanea heing breeding ewes. From Poporangi Station was a large 4ra£t of forward wetliers, wMch was the principal entry. It made good fielling. Several other pens also sold Well, Ihe top price being 26/- for a well-done entry. The breeding ewes comprised many lotc ahowing age and were poorly mouthed. The best lines made values practically on & par with the values at last week's ewe fair, but poorer •orts were easier. Fat and forward well-grown easy-finishing lambs sold well up to late ratea, but a slower sale met the second-quality lines. • Realisations were as under:—

On aecount of Mr. 5, Nelson Lane, S05 well-grown and well-woolled whitefaced wether lambs iu healthy ordcr and a useful rape line brought 20/3. Oa account of Mrs. L. C. Graliaoi, 120 quite = early-shorn breeding ewes, Tunning with Southdown xams sinee January 25, brought 18/6. An entry of 106 six-year-old ewes, poorly mouthed but carrying a lot of condition and should fatten readily, brought 19/3. Down from Sherenden, 180 aged Leicester cross iewes, fairly well mouthed, well framed, were passed at 23/6. A line of 279 two-tooth wethers, in light condition after having been for some timo on the road, did not attract, passing at 22/3. On account of Mr T. C. Lowry and off the Sherenden hills, 575 six-year-old ewes, quite well mouthed and in good breeding condition. "brought 22/7. An entry of 168 llve and six-year-old-ewes, well ffamed, quite good mouthed and in good condition, made 22/6. Off ihe Havelock hills, 105 averagemouthed aged ewes, well framed and in mseful order, made 22/1. ' On account of the same vendors, 880 fat and forward four-tooth wethers, in good order and carrying a good slipe, bK>ught to 24/6, entry of 121 poor-mouthed ewes «ff the Havelock hills, a useful fattening line, brought 18/10.* A line of 161 five and six-year-old ewes; quite fair mouthed, brought 28/9. On acoount of Mr Frank Hildreth, Mangawhare, 162 medium-grown fat and forward black-faced lambs, in hardy order and easily finished on rape brought 19/9. On. account of Mr T. Simcox, Puketitiri, 104 hardy-grown Down cross lambs, would respond. readily on rape, brought 19/5. An entry of 148 woolly white-faced wether lambs, uneven grown but in useful store order, were slow to sell and passed at 17/-. In. from Eskdale, 52 five and six-year-old ewes, poorly mouthed, being * fattening .line, realised 17/10. Down -from Kereru, 129 weli-framed four and five-year-old ewes, well mouthed and in good condition^ carrying a good slipe, brought 29/8. in from the Tukituki 90 four, six and eight-toothed and 50 five-year-old •wes, well iramed, the younger sorts being iu veiy good condition, brought 28/4. An entry of 107 ewes descnbed a# "forward," with poor mouths and incbned to be.harsh woolled, biougnt Un account of Mr D. ' H. Tumer, Puketitiri, 418 , well-grown woolly whitefaeed lambs in bright, healthy order, in good condition and well done, broueht 21/6. 6 Oa account of Kereru Station, 212 .well-grown woolly white-faced well-done hardy lambs made 21/-. On account of Mr C. W. Eeeves, Waikare, 162 woolly white-faced lambs, mediurn grown, brought 17/7. A fu/ther entry on account of Kereru Etation of 170 smaller-grown similarlybred wether lambs made 17/6. On account of Mr W. Turner, Puketitiri, 165 small-grown woolly whiteX&ced wether lambs, a hardy backcountry line., made 16/4. -An entry of 115 early-shorn fat "and forward wethers, very mixed in the Wooi bnt in very good order, were •ought after to make 26/8. An entry of 148 medium-grown Woolly lambs, good doing and sound, brought 18/11. Down from Waikare, a small-grown #ull line of woolly white-faced lambs were slow to sell, making 13/7. X line of 142 aged ewes in poor condition, a cull line, made 12/-. Frcm Sherenden. 131 aged ewes, deicribed as fat and forward but xequiring a lot of finishing, made 15/9. On hceount of Xay's Estate, Wharerangi, 62 early-shorn fat and forward wethers brought 25/1. - An entry of 146 small-grown shorn white-faced lambs in light condition brought 12/10. On account of Mr J- Nelson Lane, Waipuna, Puketitiri, 95 Down-cross good topping-off lambs brought 20/3. On account of Mr P. H. Orr, Waikare. 96 well-grown woolly white-faced lambs carrying quite a lot of condition made good'bnying at 21/-. .On acconnt of Colonel Neilson, 159 well-grown fat and forwaTd wethers, in good condition, brouaht 26/3.
