No Fresh Food For 34 Days

HEAVY SEAS RUNNING

EUGBY, Feb. 8. Owing to persistent gales and high seas, the island of Foula, in the Shetlands had been isolated since December 27 until yesterday, when a fishery protection vessel arrived with a stock of provisions. The three keepers of tlie Tuskar lighthouse, off the Wexford coast of Ireland, have been marooned for 34 : days. A further attempt yesterday to relieve them failed owing to heavy seas. The keepers have long since exhausted their fresh provisions but a supply of emergency rations will last three months.
