PLUNKET SOCIETY

Meeting at Waipukurau The monthly meeting of hte Waipukurau brancli of the Plunket Society was held in the Plunket and Re>st Room on Tuesday afternoon. Mrs J. HuntlyWalker presided over the following members: Mesdames W. Chambers, G. E. Gideon, H. Hooper, C. R. Moore, F. A. G. Dunn, F. R. McWilliams, F. Hopkinson, E. Broad and Mrs J. Braithwaite (acting secretary). The members stood in silence aa a token of sympatliy with Mrs Hobson and Miss Hobson in their reeent sad bereavement. The Plunket nurse submitted her report for the months of December and January. Parcels of clothing were received from ■ Mesdames McKenzie, Nash and Power. It was decided to invite those njen interested in the Plunket Society to a meeting to discuss holding a stock drive in aid of Plunket funds. Accounts amounting to £5 5/7 were passed for payment. ' Mesdames J. Braithwaite and F. McWilliams were appointed visitors to the rooins.
