m GROWD ANTICIPATED TO-DAY
The twenty-eighth annual show of the Dannevirke Agriculture! and Pastoral Association opened under .very favourable circumstances yesterday. The day was fine and bsright, and there was an excellent attencfance for judging (day. The entries in several sections are a record, and there is very keen competition. The high standard of the exhibits Is in keeping with previous Dannevirke shows, and every farmer desirous of keeping in touch with the progress of things agricultural and pastoral should not fail to attend the exhibition. The association has made many new additions to the conveiuences on the grounds, including a ram fair rostrum, which will be officially opened on Thursday at 10 p m. It proved useful yesterday for exhibiting the fleece wool classes. The side-show location has been changed, and may now be found close to the High street boundary instead of near one end of the oval. The grounds in general bear a well-kept appearance, and the buildings are as attractive inside as outside. Altogether the show is a high-class one, and the association is to be congratulated on its very fine achievement. .
